ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN
EDMONTON OFFICE

We are seeking an ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN to work out of our EDMONTON OFFICE. The successful candidate will receive appropriate training in all of our field procedures. An organized, hands-on person with good communication skills, problem solving capability, the ability to work independently and to multi-task would be a good fit for this type of work. A company vehicle will be provided and a great deal of out-of-town work and travel will be required, therefore a valid driver’s license is mandatory.

Reporting to various project managers, the duties for this full-time position will involve:

  • soil and groundwater sampling;

  • site investigations and remediation programs, including drilling and excavations;

  • equipment installation, monitoring and maintenance;

  • environmental monitoring of subsurface conditions;

  • maintenance of field documentation;

  • entry and routine analysis of field and laboratory data.

  • O'Connor Associates has a very active Health & Safety program and provides excellent training to all personnel. We welcome applications from new graduates or from technicians or technologists with experience. A diploma from a program such as Civil, Geological, Groundwater, Environmental, Hydrogeology, Bioresources, or other related fields would be a good fit.
